In early 2024, Jane’s world changed forever when her son, Sam, aged 27 took his own life.

In the quiet that followed, she searched for peace - something to help her breathe again, to find a moment of stillness in the storm

Through that journey she discovered hot and cold therapy - the restorative balance of ice and fire. Finding strength in the elements, the ritual of heat, breath, and cold immersion became a healing practice.

Jane founded Ice and Embers - created to help others discover the power of contrast therapy. Built on compassion, community, and connection, it’s more than a wellness experience; it’s an invitation to pause, to feel, and to reset.

Today Jane travels across Yorkshire, bringing mobile sauna and ice bath experiences to communities, festivals, retreats, and workplaces. - helping people reconnect with nature, their bodies, and the simple, grounding power of the elements.

But at its heart, it’s still about what it was always meant to be: healing, connection, and the courage to sit with life’s extremes.

Jane has created something truly rare — a business that doesn’t just offer wellness, but was born from the need for it.

“Ice and Embers isn’t just about heat and cold. It’s about renewal, resilience, and rediscovering the warmth of being alive
